Andy Mitchell drew peg 53 on the canal and took all the Nomad pound coins this week but also main framed in the match winning a section with 76lb Three Nomads were pegged on Moorhen, Robin Ballard fairing the best with 64lb. While Phil Seedhouse and Rob Butcher were pegged side by side on the other end of the pool, with Phil getting the bragging rights over Rob weighing in 48lb to Rob’s 22lb.  Stu Thomson found himself on Heron and weighed in 26lb. The match was won by venue expert Lee Payne with 126lb off the canal in a match that still produced four tonne plus weights and good back up weights even for December., and this is why we go to these types of venue.

Its back to Woodland View next Sunday for the Nomads for the 3rd round of the Winter Pairs league where Phil Seedhouse and Andy Mitchell will be hoping for a good draw as they top the league after the first two rounds.
