March started with cold windy conditions early in the month before the weather improved and we then saw several 100lb bags of fish taken later in the month. We had four Open match wins in March, Phil and Robin won opens at Hillview and Rob won two Opens, one at Cob House and the other at Woodland View.
March kicked off well with Andy, Phil and Rob picking up at Hillview, Cob House and Woodland View. On the Saturday Andy fished the Open at Cob House, drawing on the Chestnut pool where he ended up 2nd overall with 87lb 10oz. The on Sunday Phil travelled to Hillview for the open split over canals 3 & 4 where he caught 57lb 8oz to win the match overall. Andy fished again on Sunday and made it a double weekend pick up this time winning his pool, Front Deans with 65lb and finishing 2nd overall on Woodland View’s teams of 4 Spring league and then the final Nomad framer of the weekend was Rob who fished the Cob House Sunday Open catching over a tonne (115lb 13oz) from the Chestnut pool to take 3rd place overall.
A quite weekend for the Jubilee Nomads, where blustery conditions made fishing difficult. Rob saw our only brown envelope over the weekend fishing the rover at Cob House on the Sunday where he finished in 3rd place from peg 7 on Chestnut with an impressive weight totalling 199lb 7oz.
Rob continued his good form at Cob House fishing the Sunday Open on Chestnut where he won the match from peg 5 with an impressive 148lb 6oz. Then over at Hillviews Sunday Open Stu picked up a section win off canal one with 80lb
Rob took a mid week trip the Woodland View were he racked up another win. This time weighing in 111lb of Back Deans.
The last weekend of March saw 3 more Brown Envelopes. Robin won the Sunday Open at Hillview with 117lb and Phil followed that with 100lb to pick up a section win, while over at Woodland View Andy continued his good run, this time winning his section with 58lb off Front Deans in the Teams of four league.
