Our recent holiday to Agadir, Morocco, was a dream come true. After months of planning, we decided to spend five blissful nights at the Riu Tikada Beach Hotel in Agadir – an excellent adult-only, all-inclusive hotel that promised us peace, relaxation, and a bit of adventure. Looking back, it was one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever taken!

A Perfect Stay at Riu Tikada Beach Hotel
From the moment we arrived at Riu Tikada Beach Hotel, we knew we’d made the right choice. The hotel, a fantastic 4-star resort, offered everything we needed for a laid-back yet luxurious escape. Located just a short walk from the beach, it provided all the amenities we could ask for, including a stunning pool, superb restaurants, and a great selection of entertainment each evening.
One of the highlights of our stay was the wonderful service. The hotel catered to every need, and we were treated like royalty. Arriving late at night, we were welcomed with a surprise – an evening meal delivered right to our room at midnight. It was such a thoughtful gesture after a long travel day, and the food was absolutely delicious.
The food throughout our stay was phenomenal. Every night, there were different options to explore, from international dishes to authentic Moroccan specialties. The variety and quality were outstanding, and we never ran out of exciting meals to try. Whether it was the buffets or the à la carte options, we were always well-fed and satisfied.

Experiencing Moroccan Culture
While our hotel stay was incredibly relaxing, we also ventured out on a few exciting excursions to immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture of Morocco.
1. Morocco Dance Night at Chems Ayours Restaurant
Our first adventure took us to Chems Ayours Restaurant, where we experienced an unforgettable Moroccan dance night. The evening was filled with mesmerizing performances – belly dancers, fire eaters, and horsemen firing rifles into the air. The highlight, however, was the authentic Moroccan feast, with tagine, couscous, and delicious pastilla. It was a fantastic night of entertainment and culture that set the tone for our entire trip.

2. Exploring the Souk – Africa’s Largest Market
Next, we visited the souk – the largest market in Africa. It was an absolute sensory overload! The colors, the scents, the sounds – it was an experience unlike any other. We bargained for some unique souvenirs, from handmade rugs to spices and jewelry. The air was thick with the fragrances of freshly ground herbs and spices, and we couldn’t resist filling our bags with some fragrant treasures to bring home.

3. Camel Ride Through the Real Morocco
One of the most memorable parts of our trip was the camel ride. What we thought would be a short jaunt turned into an exhilarating two-hour adventure through the desert landscape of real Morocco, far off the typical tourist tracks. The camel ride was a unique way to take in the stunning scenery, and we even enjoyed some Moroccan tea served by the locals at a small, rustic stop along the way. It felt like we had truly stepped into the heart of Morocco’s rural charm.

4. Dinner at Pure Passion Restaurant
For a more refined evening, we enjoyed an exceptional meal at Pure Passion Restaurant in Agadir’s harbor. The hotel arranged a private transfer, picking us up from the hotel and taking us back after the meal. The ambiance was lovely, and the food was exquisite. From tender seafood to perfectly cooked steaks, it was an evening of fine dining and impeccable service. The views over the harbor added an extra special touch to our evening.

5. Sea Fishing Adventure
The next day, I embarked on a sea fishing trip – and while I only caught a few mackerels, it was a wonderful experience. The crew was friendly and skilled, and after catching our fish, we even had a barbecue right on the boat. There’s nothing quite like enjoying fresh fish grilled on the open sea, with the coastline of Agadir in the background.

6. Croc World – The Largest Crocodile Park in Africa
On our final day, we visited Croc World, the largest crocodile park in Africa. It was fascinating to get up close to these ancient reptiles. We walked through the park, learning about the different species of crocodiles and even getting a chance to watch the feeding sessions. The park was well-maintained, and it offered an educational experience that was both fun and awe-inspiring.

A Peaceful, Relaxing Holiday
This trip to Morocco was exactly what we needed – a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. The Riu Tikada Beach Hotel provided us with the peace and tranquility we were looking for, while the excursions gave us a taste of the country’s rich culture and natural beauty. Every day was an opportunity to explore, try something new, and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
Whether it was lounging by the pool, exploring the markets, or tasting the local flavors, we felt completely rejuvenated. Agadir was the perfect destination for anyone seeking a peaceful yet enriching holiday experience.
As we boarded our flight home, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the wonderful memories we created in Morocco. It was a trip filled with adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration, and we would love to return one day. If you’re looking for a place that offers a mix of leisure, culture, and stunning natural beauty, Agadir is the place to go!
